How In-Situ Bioremediation Works

Technician applying in-situ biological soil treatment without excavation.

How we turn contaminated liabilities into restored assets in three steps.

Don't Move Your Liability. Eliminate It

The Old Way: Dig, Haul, Disrupt.

Ex-situ remediation means excavators, long trenches, and convoys of trucks hauling your problem down the road. You pay to move contaminated soil to a landfill—and keep cradle-to-grave liability for every load.

The PC Bio Way: Treat It Where It Lies.

PC Bio applies a biology-based solution to clean spills in-situ, removing the need for mass excavation or shutdown. Our microbes effectively break down hydrocarbons into harmless end products while keeping your operations online.

What We Stand For

Microbial Remediation That Works in the Real World

PC Bio is an environmental technology company that uses biological solutions to address issues that traditional chemistry and dig-and-haul methods cannot. We focus on in-situ remediation of hydrocarbon spills and produced water, treating contaminated soil in-situ instead of removing it and sending it to a landfill. Our microbial and biosurfactant system relies on natural processes, is non-toxic, and aims to restore soil health so vegetation can recover and operations stay continuous.

We are a team of operators, scientists, and finance professionals who understand the realities of managing pipelines, tank farms, airports, marine ports, and other critical infrastructure. Our mission is to turn hydrocarbon spills from long-term liabilities into documented closures, all while minimizing disruption, reducing costs, and improving the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) stories for the companies and ecological agencies we serve.

A Legacy of Restoration, Evolved for the Future

The Technology Lineage

The Evolution: Going Global

Acquiring the REX Assets

PC Bio founders are establishing a legacy of operational success in the field.

PC Bio's consortium formulation traces directly to Remediation & Environmental Xperts (REX), a Texas-based company that applied this same biological approach across more than 2,000 O&G remediation projects. When the REX technology became available, our founder acquired the living microbial material, grow center process, and field methodology — preserving an unbroken biological lineage now deployed under the PC Bio name.

Our founder purchased the REX microbial technology, grow center process, and field application methodology directly from its originators. PC Bio was formed to commercialize this proven approach under new ownership — with a grow center in Houston, TX, expanded QA/QC protocols, and a focus on defensible, documented results for every project.

PC Bio is headquartered in Houston, TX, with a grow center established to produce and deploy the consortium at commercial scale. With interest from operators in the U.S., Brazil, the UAE, and Trinidad, the company is positioned to bring this in-situ approach to O&G markets where produced water contamination and hydrocarbon spills are among the most persistent field challenges.

Targeted Application

Verification & Closure

Targeted Application

We apply our "primed" microbial solution directly to the contaminated zone using low-impact spray rigs or injection systems. By treating the soil in-situ (in place), we eliminate the need for heavy excavation equipment, ensuring your pipelines and facility operations continue without interruption.

Verification & Closure

Targeted Application

Once applied, our natural biosurfactants detach oil from soil particles, making it accessible to microbes. Our proprietary consortium then metabolizes hydrocarbons and sequesters salts, converting toxic contaminants into harmless byproducts such as water, CO2, and organic biomass.to help you achieve your sustainability goals while improving your bottom line.

Verification & Closure

Verification & Closure

Verification & Closure

We don't guess; we measure. We conduct rigorous post-treatment sampling and laboratory analysis to verify that TPH, BTEX, and chloride levels have dropped below regulatory limits. We provide the data-driven reporting you need to secure final regulatory closure.environmental consulting, or recycling solutions, we'll work with you to find the best approach for your business.
